Here's the itinerary — this one departs on May 16, 2015, but I can find you other vacation dates if this doesn't work for you.
Athens, the capital and largest city in Greece, has a recorded history spanning 3,400 years. The heritage of the classical era is still evident in the city, represented by a number of ancient monuments and works of art, including the Parthenon. Athens is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Acropolis of Athens and the medieval Daphni Monastery.
Mykonos, one of the most visited Greek Islands, combines beauty, a cosmopolitan lifestyle, sophisticated nightlife and the historic treasures of nearby Delos, a UNESCO site. SeaDream generally anchors just off the famous windmills and tenders directly to the old town. Guests have a few organized options including the sacred island of Delos, others may simply want to explore Mykonos's beaches, boutiques, clubs and churches independently.
Patmos, a small Greek island that's been called the Jerusalem of the Aegean, has a population of 3,000. This is a sacred island, for it's believed to be the place where Saint John wrote the Book of Revelations. Patmos, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is an ideal destination for nature lovers thanks to its lace-like coastline, sheer cliffs, beautiful beaches and volcanic soil. Most guests will participate in the land adventure to the cave of the apocalypse and the Monastery of St. John. Others may want to explore the village or follow the officers on a bike ride around the hilly island.
Kusadasi, a resort town on Turkey's Aegean coast offers world-famous shopping at its grand bazaar. Other guests will make time to see the wonders of the ancient ruins at Ephesus. This comprehensive SeaDream Land Adventure includes a guided tour of the stunning archaeological site of Ephesus, including the recently excavated Terrace Houses, but also adds a visit to the House of the Virgin Mary.
On Day 5, guests will visit Kepez, a seaside town in Turkey's Canakkale Province. From there, SeaDream offers a unique Land Adventure to the ruins of the ancient city of Troy (a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Another “don’t miss” option is a visit to perhaps the most moving site in all of Turkey: Anzac Cove and the World War I battlefields of Gallipoli. We recommend that you make time and visit this hauntingly beautiful area where for more than nine months (1915-16) Allied and Turkish troops faced one another in one of the world's most tragic battles to gain control of this waterway.
Istanbul, the fifth largest city in the world with a population of over 14 million, is a transcontinental city with a storied history. Its commercial and historical center lies in Europe, while a third of its population lives in Asia. SeaDream calls to this wonderful destination both as an embarkation point and a destination offering several land adventures.
If the dates May 16-21 don't work for you, there are alternative sailing dates with similar itineraries.
