Sky Princess's impressive top-deck accommodations and entertainment.

Princess Cruises wows with first look at Sky Princess

Ship will sport knockout suites on top deck and other features

She’s not only a beautiful ship, but Sky Princess — which debuts October 2019 in the Mediterranean — has knockout top suites for high rollers. And we do mean top. The accommodations sit on the uppermost decks and span 700 square feet of space plus private balconies from which passengers can watch the ship’s Movie Under the Stars screen without leaving their cabin.

Did I mention a 270-degree panoramic view and sleeping capacity for five? They are also ideal for couples who like to entertain in their suite.

"Our two new Sky Suites reflect Princess Cruises’ continued commitment to offer new and expansive accommodations that meet the needs of our guests who wish to explore the world in ultimate comfort,” Jan Swartz, president of Princess Cruises, said in a statement.

The 143,700 gross ton ship will mirror her sister ships Royal Princess, Regal Princess and Majestic Princess with some of the same features. Sky Princess will also sport some new features such a Wakeview pool on its aft decks, two new deep-tank top deck pools, a restorative Retreat Pool and more whirlpools than previous Royal Class ships, including two Jacuzzis cantilevered over the deep-tank pools.

Meanwhile, Sky Princess will introduce more ways for guests to unwind, with its relaxing Sanctuary area offering a new contemporary design and twice as many private cabanas as its sister ships. The well-frequented signature Vista Lounge will be overhauled with a full bar, an evolution of the popular lounge on other Princess ships. And a new cafe, manned by baristas, will provide that oft-needed caffeine kick, along with teas and small bites.

Princess is continuing its multi-year "Come Back New Promise," a $450 million product innovation and cruise ship renovation campaign that is designed to enhance passenger pleasures. Innovations include partnerships with award-winning chef Curtis Stone; engaging entertainment-inspired shows with Broadway legend Stephen Schwartz; immersive activities for the whole family from Discovery and Animal Planet that include exclusive shore excursions and onboard activities as well as its ultimate sleep at sea with the award-winning Princess Luxury Bed.
