Scuba divers will love this offering from Silversea Expeditions, a branch of luxury cruise line Silversea. On certain voyages this year and next, the line is featuring free scuba trips on 20 voyages in of some of the world’s most remote areas and top diving sites in the western Pacific and Indian Ocean.
The Scuba Diving Expedition Voyages for 2016 and 2017 are available on the 120-passenger, all-suite Silver Discoverer, the newest of the fleet. It will give divers a chance to go under the sea in such regions as the Maldives, Australia's Great Barrier Reef, the Palau archipelago and the Andaman Islands. You can expect to dive down into hidden caves and tunnels to swim with fish of all species.
And it’s completely free — yes, no extra charge for this, folks, just like all the drinks and gratuities that come with the base fare on any swank Silversea ship.
In addition to an onboard dive master, there will be a team of experts on each voyage — including marine biologists, environmentalists, ecologists and geologists — who will enlighten guests with their extensive knowledge of these amazing regions.
"We're delighted to offer our guests the opportunity to explore remote destinations both on land and underwater with this unique series of expedition voyages," said Mark Conroy, Silversea's managing director for the Americas. "The Scuba Diving Expedition Voyages are designed to provide the most awe-inspiring deep sea adventures, but also include incredible destinations for snorkeling and onshore hiking explorations."
