6 exciting things to do in Los Cabos on a cruise

It would be accurate to say that Los Cabos is like two great destinations in one. That’s because this area, located at the tip of Baja California Sur in Mexico, is actually composed of two distinct regions, each with its own personality.

It includes Cabo San Lucas, a high-energy locale with lots of activity and entertainment. But the other half of this dual-personality destination is San Jose del Cabo, which exemplifies the picture-perfect old authentic Mexican town with all the quaint touches like cobblestone streets and traditional cuisine.

Together, these two regions merge to provide an incredible travel destination that offers the perfect combination of old and new, ensuring there is something for everyone.

Here are six exciting things to do in Los Cabos during a pre- or post-cruise stay or during a shore excursion:

You will need to venture deep into the heart of the old-world environment of San Jose del Cabo to truly reach the mecca of traditional cuisine, but it will be worth the trip. Restaurants here serve only the freshest ingredients and have long practiced a farm-to-table approach that is so popular these days.

Those who have dreamed of the pirate life will be thrilled to learn that there are numerous companies offering diving tours. Even if you aren’t lucky enough to stumble upon any long lost treasure chests, you will still surely discover many beautiful varieties of exotic ocean life. Snorkeling and scuba diving are popular here, but don’t miss the chance to do some whale watching, as well.

Join in on one of the pub crawls (assuming you don't have to be back on the ship), so you won’t have to worry about any details or decisions and can just follow the crowds.
