On a cruise ship
Seabourn Venture: Luxury adventures in the polar regions & Amazon
You can expect luxury on a Seabourn cruise. Now, expand your expectations and your world with that same casual luxury.
Seabourn Venture makes its maiden voyage April 10, 2022 out of London, offering the first of two itineraries around the United Kingdom. Eventually the ship will settle into a rhythm of offering voyages lasting 10 to 14 days to seas and rivers less traveled as well as longer journeys.
Cruising the Amazon will be a regular on Seabourn Venture's itinerary. So will the Falkland Islands, northern Norway and Antarctica — Seabourn Venture's PC6 Polar Class-rated hull should ensure safe passage. Other ports of call include Cape Verde, the Canary Islands and Morocco.
Seabourn offers all-inclusive fares, and a voyage on Seabourn Venture includes gratuities, cocktails, coffee drinks and, of course, all expeditions.
The ship is classified as an expedition ship but is actually more of a luxury mega-yacht with comfortable suites, each with a veranda. Seabourn is known for its exquisite dining choices, and that should be the case here, starting with the Collonade and the main Dining Room. You'll also find several comfortable lounges on board and hot tubs on deck with panoramic views.
Don't forget the toys. If you are drawn to an active traveling style, Seabourn Venture includes two custom-built mini-submarines, double sea kayaks, mountain bikes and ebikes. For day tours, choose from 24 Zodiacs to zip you down rivers and across bays with guides from a 26-person expedition team on board.
Where Seabourn Venture sails
Following its U.K. debut, Seabourn Venture is scheduled to make summer sailings to Svalbard, Iceland, Greenland and the Canadian Arctic. During certain months, sightings of the Northern Lights are likely.
During the winter months, the ship will travel down the coast of South America and make voyages along the Amazon followed by round-trip itineraries from Ushuaia, Argentina, to Antarctica. Specific routes depend on ice and weather conditions, with the coronavirus pandemic thrown in as another wild card.
Venture features a total of 132 cabins, all suites with balconies. Rooms come in different sizes and configurations. Most staterooms are Veranda Suites, measuring 355 square feet with 75-square-foot balconies. Panorama Veranda Suites are 417 square feet in size, with an 85-square-foot veranda. Penhouse Suites are 527 square feet and feature separate living and sleeping areas, a spacious dual-vanity bathroom and a balcony that spans 97 square feet in size. Owner's Suites are 1,023 square feet with a curved 484-square-foot veranda. And two Signature Suites come in at a generous 1,377 square feet with 592-square-foot verandas. Two Wintergarden Suites offer two-story accommodations.
Seabourn Venture's sister ship is scheduled to be delivered in February 2023.
