Tulum: More than just ruins

Many cruise ships calling at ports along Mexico's Caribbean coast, or Riviera Maya, offer shore excursions to the Maya ruins at Tulum, Mexico. But this famous archaeological site isn't the only place of interest in the area. The strip of "eco-resorts" that have sprung up on a beach just south of the ruins also merit attention. If time permits and you're interested in seeing more ruins, don't miss jungle-clad Cobá, about an hour away.
