How our Bliss Filters work
Norwegian Joy features onboard experiences catering to the preferences of primarily Chinese-speaking holiday-makers.
Activities and entertainment include a two-level go-kart racetrack on the top deck — the first ever at sea — in which 10 guests in electric carts compete in a 5- to 6-minute race. There’s also an al fresco laser tag course and a new Galaxy Pavilion entertainment complex, complete with interactive video walls.
Deck 16 activities feature Oculus virtual reality technology in several variations, including walking a plank between buildings, hang gliding and a design-your-own roller coaster module. Laser tag, a giant touch screen for young children, hovercraft bumper cars, waterslides with transparent panels that go over the side of the ship and several karaoke rooms are also featured.
The upper deck features a Serenity Park with a new open-air area for relaxing in a lounger among a pool and greenery. Rounding out the activities is Norwegian’s largest shopping venue selling duty-free items and well-known international brands as well as three casinos. There's also a formal tea room and what Norwegian touts as the cruise line's fastest ship-wide Wi-Fi Internet at sea.
Norwegian Joy guests can choose from 11 complimentary dining options. They can also experience new flavors at signature specialty restaurants, such as Le Bistro, La Cucina, Cagney’s Steakhouse and Bayamo by James Beard Award-winning chef Jose Garces.
Restaurants and food bars include:
