Tauck's Emerald: Glorious river cruising through the South of France

Snapshot

Designed with an open, airy plan, Tauck's ms Emerald debuted in 2017 with glorious river cruises through France's southern countryside along the Rhône and Saône rivers. Emerald winds through the colorful Provençal landscapes and villages dotting the lush Rhône Valley wine country that inspired the impressionist painters of the 19th century.

As you cruise, the riverboat’s comfortable public spaces are ideal spots for socializing or simply relaxing as you glide past the remarkable scenery along Europe’s rivers — meeting your ship mates for a cocktail, kicking back in the Jacuzzi or chatting as you bask in the sun.

Emerald (formerly Swiss Emerald) was redesigned to accommodate no more than 98 guests with an innovative deck plan featuring 14 300-square-foot Suites and 20 225-square-foot cabins. The ship also offers walk-in closets, marble baths with full-size tubs and two French balconies with floor-to-ceiling windows.
