MSC Meraviglia: Family-friendly smartship sails the Caribbean & Med

Snapshot

Swiss-based MSC Cruises launched its next-generation smart ship, MSC Meraviglia, in the Mediterranean in June 2017. (Meraviglia is the Italian word for amazement or wonder. It is pronounced mair-uh-VEAL-ya.)

Here are some of the ship's highlights:

  • A 315-foot-long indoor promenade with LED dome
  • New dining venues, including the Kaito sushi bar and Teppanyaki restaurant, Eataly and Jean Philippe Maury chocolaterie
  • Family-friendly facilities and attractions in a super amusement park, including 2 F1 Simulators, a full-size bowling alley and an Aqua Park with four waterslides and a Himalayan Bridge
  • An extended MSC Yacht Club, an exclusive area of the ship that spans three decks with 78 suites and luxurious accommodations
  • Three elegantly designed pools, including an aft pool that transforms into a dance floor at night.

Who will like sailing on MSC Meraviglia

MSC Meraviglia should appeal to active cruise passengers looking for the latest and greatest in cruising with a European flair. Meraviglia should also appeal to both families with kids who like thrilling waterslides and tech-savvy cruisers who'll enjoy one of the most technologically sophisticated ships at sea.

Where MSC Meraviglia sails

MSC Meraviglia sails a variety of 3- to 15-night itineraries in the Caribbean from fall to spring and 7-night Western Mediterranean cruises from May to September.
