During our cruise on the Viking ocean ship Viking Sun two weeks ago, we spent a wonderful day in Aalborg, Denmark.

For me, the highlight came when our tour guide took us down a pretty cobblestone street to a ceramics shop called Lange Kunsthåndværk.

We lingered for only a few minutes, but I was so taken with the whimsical ceramics in the outdoor sculpture garden that I returned later and took these photos with my iPhone 7.

Inside the shop, there’s a gallery with changing exhibits, and on Thursday evenings in the summer you’ll find classical music from conservatory students or independent artists. It’s a little cultural gem.
