A European river cruise allows you to visit so many culturally significant that each day, you can walk back in time. If you choose a cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest, the Visual List above shows some of the sights you can see.

I'm agnostic as far as cruise lines — I've heard good things about AmaWaterways, Avalon, Uniworld, Scenic and Viking. The sites above can all be found along the route of a 14 night cruise on Viking Modi that my husband and I took.
