How our Bliss Filters work
We've only just opened our doors and already we're getting quite a few inquiries from travel agencies and independent travel agents.
Some are wondering whether we're competing with them, some are wondering if they can work with us, and some are wondering what they're allowed to do on Cruiseable. Let's answer all of these questions in one place.
1We welcome travel agents into Cruiseable. All of us have used travel agents at one time or another, and we think there's no technology that can take the place of a travel advisor who really knows her stuff and can guide clients to the right cruise ship or travel experience.
As Mary Ann Ramsey of Betty Maclean Travel put it so well, there are at least 10 reasons why a travel advisor can get you a better travel deal.
We want travel agents to use Cruiseable as a resource. We predict that many of you will use our extensive image library of 10,000-plus photos from cruise lines and tourism organizations, along with our destination guides and cruise ship pages, in your research and planning.
It's our understanding that some consumer cruise sites have a prohibition against travel agents posting, because it creates an unwelcoming environment for users when agents try to poach new clients. We allow agents to participate on Cruiseable — but only in a constructive, helpful way.
