Paul Gauguin unveils its 2019 itineraries

Paul Gauguin Cruises, a cruise line offering small luxury sailings to Tahiti, French Polynesia, Fiji and the South Pacific, has unveiled its itineraries for 2019.

The 2019 calendar includes 99 cruises that offer passengers the chance to discover some of the South Pacific’s hidden gems. In 2019, there are three new sailings to the Society Islands and Tahiti Iti.

Known for its exceptional service and its outstanding passenger-to-crew ratio, Paul Gauguin’s cruises feature roomy ocean-view cabins with balconies in select stateroom categories, gourmet dining, a state-of-the-art spa, spacious decks by the pool, a fitness center, boutique and a lounge with live entertainment.

The ms Paul Gauguin is the highest-rated and longest continually sailing ship in the South Pacific. It offers a watersports marina for kayaking, windsurfing, paddle boarding and PADI SCUBA diving programs.

Among highlights in 2019 are:

Tahiti and the Society Islands (various dates throughout 2019, excluding September and November )
This 7-night cruise is the perfect introduction to the South Pacific with stops in Taha’a, Moorea, Bora Bora and secluded Huahine. Passengers will also have the chance to enjoy a memorable day on Paul Gauguin’s private island, Motu Mahana.

Society Islands and Tahiti Iti (Aug. 31, Oct. 19, Dec. 14)
A visit to Tahiti Iti, meaning Little Tahiti, gives passengers a rare chance to explore the smaller of the two landmasses that comprise Tahiti. In fact, no other cruise line offers this opportunity. Once there, cruise-goers will be able to explore the area’s wild terrain and get a glimpse into an ancient Polynesian culture.

Society Islands and Tuamotus (March 20, July 10, Aug. 14, Oct. 2, Nov. 13)
Highlights of this 10-night cruise include two full days on Bora Bora, with ample chance to luxuriate on its famed white-sand beaches or enjoy a variety of watersports, as well as visiting the UNESCO-classified nature reserve of Fakarava.

Cook Islands & Society Islands (March 19, June 15, Aug. 3, Nov. 2)
This 11-night itinerary brings the diversity of the South Pacific to the forefront, as guests visit the rugged Rarotonga and the tranquil lagoons of Aitutaki and Bora Bora, where passengers will have two luxurious days to take in all this island has to offer.

Fiji, Tonga, Cook and Society Islands (Sept. 7 and 21)
Regardless of the sailing, passengers will have the chance to experience for themselves the rich and diverse culture that makes up these four South Seas archipelagos. Fiji has a colonial-era charm, while Bora Bora’s white beaches are the stuff of legends. Passengers will also have the chance to experience one of the largest barrier reefs while visiting Beqa Island.

Marquesas, Tuamotus and Society Islands (Jan. 26, April 13, Nov. 23)
Guests will spend 14 days exploring the white sand beaches and tranquil lagoons of the Society Islands and rugged peaks and valleys of the Marquesas Islands. This itinerary includes a stop on Fakarava, where passengers can see rare birds, plants and crustaceans, and a stop on Hiva Oa, home of the Marquesas’ largest stone sculptures which are said to be cousins of the tikis on Easter Island. Passengers will also enjoy Motu Mahana.
