Last month's cruise on Norwegian Jade provided plenty of visual highlights during the 11-night sailing out of Miami, and I'll be creating four to six Visual Lists of the visually arresting destinations we visited. 

So let's kick things off with this overview of our Norwegian Jade cruise, just to whet your appetite. Jade's a pretty ship with an affable crew and a set of specialty restaurants that exceeded our expectations. Here's the itinerary we chose:

• Cartagena, Colombia
• Panama Canal/Gatun Lake/Colon, Panama
• Puerto Limon, Costa Rica (canceled due to rough seas)
• Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
• Harvest Caye, Belize
• Costa Maya, Mexico

We traveled during the holidays so enjoyed a good amount of Christmas cheer. Highlights on board, besides the dining and service, included some of the enrichment offerings, the main pool and the large number of bars and lounges to choose from.
