Famous for its Carnaval festival, Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain, Rio de Janeiro is a place that can't be missed. We were in port for two days on the Crown Princess and took in the area's beautiful views.

We got to port the day after Carnaval as they were taking down the decorations. During our day trip we also saw Brazil's world-famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, both surrounded with a black and white swirl pattern on a large, winding sidewalk that you can also see in different areas of Brazil.
