About Sagrada Familia

The Sagrada Familia is a Roman Catholic church located in Barcelona, Spain. This church is the largest church in Europe. This church is a masterpiece of Gaudi who was a great architect in the European region. This is one the best known and most visited attractions in Barcelona, Spain.

This Church was designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. The construction of this building was started in 1882 and in 1883, Gaudi took over this project and changed it completely with his unique ideas.

Progress of this building is very slow and it is still in construction and the complete construction of this building is expected to complete in 2026 that is almost 100 years after Gaudi’s death.

The interior of this building is attractive in its own way. There are numerous towers, chapels, portals and other interior feature that attracts tourist towards it. At the time of construction of this building, this was known as the world largest church building which has the tallest spire, which symbolizes Jesus Christ.

The best time to visit this church is early in the morning or late in the evening as the sun shines through its windows on the walls filling the church with an abundance of color. At this also less crowd can be expected so you don’t have to wait longer to enter the church.

Ticket of this church can be pre-booked via government official website as well as through some third party agents. Sagrada Familia tickets are also available offline but for that, you have to wait in a queue.
