Cruise line ratings

Cruiseable's editorial ratings are based on our team’s assessment of the overall cruise experience that passengers come away with. Each evaluation is limited to the cruise line’s specific category: luxury, mass market, etc.

When we receive a sufficient number of ratings by Cruiseable members, we’ll add member ratings to the mix, so please share your own experiences!

We think readers benefit from additional context, so we’re including ratings from other trusted sources:

• Frommer's values are taken from its Overall Value category and converted to a 0-5 scale.
• Conde Nast Traveler's ratings are based on its "Readers' Favorite Cruise Lines: The 2014 Gold List" and converted from a 100-point scale to 0-5 stars, rounding to the nearest half star.
• We use Stern’s Guide to Cruise Vacations only when it awards 6 stars – a perfect score – and convert it to 5 stars, in order to compare apples with apples.
