The imposing Pelican Grand
How our Bliss Filters work
Spring break was in full steam in Fort Lauderdale as we arrived for our two-night pre-cruise stay — before boarding the stunning Silver Muse — at the gracious, Caribbean/plantation-style Pelican Grand Hotel on the north part of the beach resort town.
The hotel was swinging, the long stretch of soft sand beach filled with sun lovers and the beer booze were flowing as college kids (and some of us older types) let off some steam.
The Pelican Grand is ideal for a pre-cruise entry point. The service is excellent, rooms comfy with ocean views, great food and steps from the beach. A mile away is Shooters, the hottest bar/restaurant in this part of town.

Shooters is quite the scene with people arriving by luxury yachts, water taxis or cars, it pulsates to a high vibe but is more than just a watering hotel, the food's great
