S.S. São Gabriel from Uniworld offers guests the chance to explore the irrigated hills of the beautiful Douro River Valley of Portugal and Spain as well as some of the region's UNESCO World Heritage sites — all on an all-inclusive luxury river ship.

Designed to reflect the Douro Valley it traverses, this elegant ship offers lavishly appointed suites, tasteful décor and delectable food and wine. Guests enjoy personalized butler service and the option to dine at any time they’d like. (The ship has been completely refurbished and reimagined since its tenure as the Queen Isabel.) 

During your voyage you'll enjoy the flavors and fragrances of Portugal and Spain as you visit Douro Valley gems such as Porto, Peso da Regua, Pinhao, Portugal and Vega de Terron, Spain. You can also choose a longer cruise that includes Salamanca, Spain, and Lisbon, Portugal.

Staterooms range in size from 135 square feet to 220-square-foot Suites and four opulent Grand Suites at 307 square feet.

Where S.S. São Gabriel sails

On the 7-night “Douro River Valley” sailing round trip from Porto, Portugal, guests will explore steeply terraced hillsides, quaint villages and acres of ripe vineyards. Enjoy private tastings of Port. Explore Porto’s historic Ribeira district, home to iconic rabelo boats, cutting-edge cuisine and a thriving art scene. Wind your way through the area's dramatic landscapes, heading ashore to visit charming quintas and meet the winemakers who operate them. In Salamanca, Spain, you’ll see the city’s famous university. Return to Portugal with a visit to the fortified village of Castelo Rodrigo and historic Guimarães. 

On the 10-night “Portugal, Spain & the Douro River Valley” cruise and land tour, the route ends with a visit to Lisbon.
