Next to Punakaiki village is the Pororari River, which opens out to a serene lagoon flanked by forest and cliffs on the west side of New Zealand's South Island. It’s the perfect location for a kayaking expedition. You don’t need to be especially fit or experienced to enjoy this adventure and all the gear is provided by the local kayak rental company.
