The USS Missouri Memorial is located just a ship’s length from the USS Arizona Memorial in Honolulu. The memorial commemorates the “Mighty Mo,” the U.S. Navy battleship that fought in the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa and was the place where the Empire of Japan surrendered, ending World War II.
