The B: High-end cruises in Central Europe starting in 2020

Health advisory: Uniworld requires all guests age 12 and up to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least two weeks prior to their sailing.

The B, from Uniworld's U River Cruises, is out of commission in 2019. It will return in 2020 with itineraries in Central Europe instead of France. Uniworld is trying to appeal to millennial travelers with its U River Cruises brand, and The B is still in a bit of a state of flux. Originally limited to ages 21 to 45, the cruise line lifted its age requirement in early 2018 because, frankly, the ship wasn't selling out.

The B is stunning in its look, featuring rooftop lounges, geometric-printed carpets and walls, graphic-designed furniture and flashes of neon. Technology is front and center, with USB outlets in staterooms and even the dining room.

Fares are all-inclusive and cover food, drink, entertainment, Wi-Fi, all the tours in each town and gratuities. Shoe excursions start later in the evening to allow partying late into the night.

The B boasts luxuriously appointed riverview staterooms, some with French balconies and bathrooms are stocked with L’Occitane body products. There is a panoramic main lounge with a full-service bar, cozy library/game room, and elegant restaurant. You'll also find farm-to-table dining and mixology classes. A 24-hour specialty coffee and tea bar are at cruisers' disposal. Enjoy the storied routes on the sun deck atop the ship. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas.

Who will enjoy sailing on The B

The B is a great option for plugged-in millennial travelers looking for a different kind of travel experience on a luxurious river ship.
