Crystal Mozart
Crystal Mozart: River yacht sailings on the Danube
Snapshot
Crystal Mozart, the first in Crystal Cruises' fleet of new river yachts, debuted in July 2016, bringing Crystal's reputation for high-end luxury to the river cruising arena.
Crystal Mozart features the largest river suites of any river cruise line as well as the highest crew-to-passenger ratio, with 92 crew members attending to the needs of 158 guests.
One of the largest river ships, the ship was designed to fit the wider locks of the Danube. With her exclusive yacht-like amenities, Crystal Mozart is the ideal ship on which to explore the timeless cities and towns along this legendary river. It features multiple dining rooms, a wrap-around promenade, luxurious spa and fitness center, an indoor pool, beauty salon and more.
All-inclusive experience
Your fare covers select shore excursions, butlers, bartenders, waiters, housekeepers, gratuities, unlimited alcohol (including wine, spirits and beer), bottled water, soft drinks, meals at all restaurants, 24-hour room service, at least 60 minutes of free Wi-Fi per person per day and airport transfers to/from the ship on arrival and departure days.
Where Crystal Mozart sails
Crystal Mozart is set to result its 7-night “Danube Dreams and Discoveries” itineraries along the Danube from Vienna in March 2022.
Highlights & amenities
Onboard amenities include a full-service spa and a separate fitness center coupled with the high level of service, cuisine and stylish decor that Crystal is known for. Sophisticated, creative shore excursions are part of the experience.
Cruise Critic's reviewer writes: "The ship's interiors are just stunning. Thought was put into every space. Instead of a short dividing wall, you'll find a metallic work of art that effectively carves up a room. A faux fireplace (which uses water mist and LED lights to create the impression of flames) gives atmosphere to a sitting area at the top of a stairway. Cool, modern rocking chairs balanced by circular hanging lights provide seating by the indoor pool. Beanbag chairs and more angular patio chairs provide pops of color to the top deck, while a living garden of herbs and plants add some life to the al fresco lounge space."
Note: Crystal's river ships are generally geared toward adults, although children ages 6 months to 17 years old are welcome on board.
Dining
There are multiple eateries on board — a stark difference from other riverboats. What's more, Crystal’s acclaimed cuisine showcases a farm-to-table concept that relies on fresh ingredients from sources within just a few hours of each port of call.
Passengers can choose to dine in the elegant Waterside Restaurant on deck 3, with menus that change daily; two casual options, an extra-fee wine dinner room, a snack bar and room service.
Accommodations
All rooms on board are suites and all are above the waterline, meaning there are no bad staterooms on board. Crystal Mozart offers butler service in every suite with features that include plush king-size beds that face toward the panoramic balcony windows, fine Egyptian-cotton linens, walk-in closets, full-length mirrors, ETRO robes and slippers, wall-mounted flat-screen HD televisions and Nespresso machines.
A note on the build
The original Crystal Mozart debuted in 1987 as River Mozart sailing under the now-defunct German operator Peter Deilmann Cruises. It was completely gutted and refurbished by Crystal before relaunching as Crystal Mozart in 2016.
