Carnival Firenze began sailing year-round from Long Beach, Calif., in 2024 with Mexican Riviera cruises packed with fun-filled Italian-themed entertainment and restaurants.
With 4,126 passengers at double occupancy, Carnival Firenze brims with Italian flourishes, drawing its art and design from the cultural temple of Florence. Guests will step on board and immediately get an Italian vibe starting with the Piazza Duomo, the grand entrance designed after the iconic dome overlooking Florence.
Entertainment on board is provided by the classic theater-style of Teatro Rosso with Playlist Productions shows and the Tuscan Lounge, which pays tribute to Florence's iconic home region. Or you can relax in your own private, stylish Terrazza cabin, which features exclusive amenities such as all-day relaxation with great drinks, entertainment, whirlpools and more.
Restaurants on board include the Palazzo and Ristorante dei Medici restaurants, the Italian street food restaurant La Strada Grill and the Mexican-Italian Tomodoro. Specialty options include the Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse and Bonsai Teppanyaki.
Other attractions on board include the Piano Bar 88 and Serenity Bar, as well as Cloud 9 Spa and the Serenity Adult-Only Retreat. The kids will find diversions aplenty at Camp Ocean, Circle C and Club O2, all tailored to different age groups. Wanna get active? The ship, which launched as Costa Firenze in 2021, was initially intended for the Asian market, particularly China, but plans shifted due to the pandemic.
