American Symphony
American Symphony: Sleek, modern riverboat arrives in 2022
Snapshot
Following in the footsteps of American Melody, which debuted in September 2021, the 175-passenger American Symphony introduces an updated modern interior design to complement its spacious all-balcony staterooms, numerous lounges and public spaces with panoramic views. Its focal point is an impressive four-story glass atrium at the center of the ship.
American Cruise Lines is known for its roomy accommodations, and here they range from 250 to 650 square feet and have full-size bathrooms, spacious closets and private balconies where you can enjoy complimentary room service during breakfast each day. The new ship also features a forward-facing observation lounge, fitness center and yoga studio.
While other small cruise lines repurpose old casino ships, American Cruise Lines tossed out the idea of traditional paddlewheel boats and built a fleet from the ground up. The result is a ship that will be quieter, wider and faster than other river ships — and also among the most environmentally friendly in the industry, the cruise line says.
Where American Symphony sails
American Symphony sails the Mississippi River. The ship is due to debut on Aug. 27, 2022, departing from New Orleans on a7-night Lower Mississippi River Cruise. Prices begin at $4,605 per person based on double occupancy.

Part of its "Modern Riverboat" series, the ship follows sister ships American Song (2018), American Harmony (2019), American Jazz (2020) and American Melody (2021). Coming next in the same class: American Serenade, currently scheduled for late 2022.

All American Cruise Lines ships are USA-flagged and built by the company-owned Chesapeake Shipbuilding Yard in Salisbury, Md.
