AmaSintra: Coming to the Douro River in April 2025

Snapshot

Portugal and Spain continue to grow in popularity for travelers seeking unforgettable experiences in Europe. AmaWaterways will add a new river ship for Douro River sailings when  AmaSintra debuts in 2025.

AmaSintra features 51 staterooms, including two suites and 36 balcony cabins, spread across three of its four decks. The ship's design emphasizes spaciousness and comfort, with most staterooms offering private balconies for guests to enjoy the scenic views along the Douro River.

Onboard amenities include a panoramic lounge, a fitness room, a spa, and a sun-deck pool, providing passengers with various options for relaxation and recreation. The ship also offers exquisite dining experiences, featuring both international and traditional Portuguese cuisine, complemented by local wines.

AmaSintra's itineraries primarily focus on the Douro River, with round-trip voyages departing from Porto, Portugal. These cruises offer guests the opportunity to explore the rich cultural heritage and stunning landscapes of the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its terraced vineyards and historic villages.

With large staterooms offering awe-inspiring views of Port Country, superb onboard cuisine and the included amenities AmaWaterways is known for, AmaSintra will be a worthy addition to Douro itineraries.

Where AmaSintra sails

Its maiden voyage is set for April 18, 2025, when it embarks on a seven-night "Enticing Douro" itinerary round-trip from Porto.
