Exploring Alaska with Nat Geo photographer Stephen Alvarez

Last summer I took an Alaskan adventure with Nat Geo photographer Stephen Alvarez and Nokia imaging expert Juha Alakarhu to capture the 49th State with a Lumia 640 XL smartphone.

We took a train through the Alaskan wilderness, cruised between glaciers on Blackwater Bay and dined at the top of Mount Alyeska.

We got up bright and early to breakfast with the bears and moose at Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, before helicoptering up over the Chugach Mountains to touch into the snows fields of Punch Bowl Glacier to go dog sledding with the champions of the Iditarod.

I even got to cuddle a few puppies in the bargain!
